Is Anyone Else Excited...
Ever since I saw my first episode of Jackass I have loved me a skater boy (cue annoying Avril Lavigne song). Something about Bam Margera and the way he's all bruised and banged up and he looks like he smells but he probably smells fabulous something like sweat, dirt and axe body spray. I know how crazy I sound but give me a boy who can skate and make me laugh simultaneously and it's like Christmas morning! My friend Amanda and I were talking about ugly-hot guys last night you know someone who isn't neccessarily the hottest guy but because he either has some swagger, humor or a sexy accent (if he has all three then ohh what a trifecta) then he is immediately attractive. This brings me to Mr. Rob Dyrdek while he is adorable in his own right because he has the swagger and the humor it pushes him over the edge for me. Enjoy the Season 2 trailer for his show on MTV Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory. It's really hysterical and makes me want a bulldog real bad!

Ouch...
Have I ever mentioned that I kinda hate working out?? I don't mind the treadmill so much or even the eliptical but the thought alone of lunges and the pushups makes me so sleepy. I have heard a lot of good things about the 30 Day Shred so I thought I would give it a try. If you have Comcast then you can go OnDemand and find the first 2 workouts for free in the fitness section. So it's 30 minutes of circuit training (2 minutes cardio then 1 to 2 minutes abs or arms) it seemed simple enough but after the first 10 minutes I was sweating it up. It definitely kicks your butt and I didn't even have hand weights to increase it.Friday, August 7, 2009
Hmm is something missing...
Also I wanted to show you this awesome necklace from Jules Smith called Edward's Smile. Now I know he doesn't actually have fangs but with my new found love of all things vampire I think I have to make this necklace mine. It also comes in gunmetal and silver so go on over and take a peek if you get a chance.

A Giggle For Your Thursday...
Umm well you might change that to a WTF and wet your pants a lil' Thursday. I was just wandering around YouTubeland and found this fabulous cooking how-to video. It's called "Cooking With Dog" and stars Francis a gray toy poodle and an unidentified woman who does all the cooking. What the hell??? I just sat there and watched the whole thing with an awed look on my face because it's pure genius. Several things come to my mind...
1st - What does the dog have to do with anything and why does he have a semi-French accent when his owner/pimp/genius is obviously Asian?
2nd - Umm beans and and a ton of sugar really go together? The whole thing looks super gross but have any of you had this before?? Am I missing out on Taiyaki??
3rd - Where can I get an iron like that because I want fish-shaped pancakes and waffles stat!
If you enjoyed this video then please stay tuned because ole' Francis has got more of them and I will keep them coming!
Thought So...
Well as I mentioned below Rachelle Leferve is going to be replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard for the 3rd installment of the Twilight Saga (hehe that name still makes me laugh). I was really wondering why on Earth would she chose to do some random movie instead of being apart of a huge Blockbuster movie like Twilight? Turns out she might not have made the decision.Lameson! If that is really how it went down that completely sucks for her. It's also really stupid for them to change up the character for the THIRD movie! I think it'll make it awkward and even if Bryce can pull off the angry vampire look it'll still be a stretch.

Why Didn't They Recast Bella...
Lameson (that is a term my friends and I use when someone or something is completely lame, stupid and/or a waste of time... pronounced lame-ah-son)

Some Happy For Your Tuesday...
Well now this is fabulous!! By now you should know that I love me a cute doggy and a happy ending! That is why this story made my Tuesday.“We ended up getting a call at 10 a.m. saying the dogs were gone. Both of ‘em,” said Joe Bauer.
The owners of the Pet Palace tell 11 News the two dogs dislocated a metal guillotine-style doggy door, worked their way through the initial set of gates of their outside run, then destroyed a section of chain link gate in the facility’s inner yard. They escaped through a 4- to 6-foot iron fence at the perimeter of the Pet Palace property.
They found Hank that same day wandering in a wooded area behind the boarding kennel, but Daizy was gone.
“The kids would ask when it was freezing cold, when we had the snow, when we had thunderstorms, they would say, 'Where is Daizy? What do you think she’s doing? Is she OK?'” said Bauer.
“I couldn’t bear the thought of her thinking we abandoned her,” said Kathy Bauer. “I just couldn’t live with that.” But for 10 months, Daizy stayed missing.
Last week, the family received the news they had been waiting for. Two of the Bauers' friends said they were positive they’d seen Daizy wandering in a wooded area along a power line easement in Webster, less than a mile away from the kennel where she was last seen, back in September.
With Hank leading the way, Joe went searching for Daizy and found her, just as their friends had promised. But after months on her own, apparently fending for herself, she was too skittish and nervously ran away.
Last Thursday night, Kathy made the trip with them. Neighbors reported seeing the dog emerge late at night from the wooded area through a break in a fence at the end of a cul-de-sac. Neighbors had become accustomed to leaving food out for her. She would make her rounds then disappear back into the woods at daybreak.
This time, Kathy called to Daizy and gave their familiar family whistle. The dog bolted right toward her.
“She sat and lifted her paw for a handshake like she always would. Then she started whimpering,” said Kathy, who admitted she was whimpering a bit, too.
“I was in the middle of the street at 11:45 at night crying and thanking the Lord. It was a wonderful, wonderful reunion.”
The Blue Lacy is the official state dog breed of Texas. The breed was developed in the Texas Hill Country and is reportedly a mix of Greyhound, scent hound and coyote. It's a breed that dog experts predict would be able to fend well for itself if lost or abandoned. And now, although still at times a bit shy and nervous around strangers after her 10 month solo ordeal, Daizy is back at home with the rest of the Bauer pack.
“When you have a bond with an animal like that and you know how strong-willed she is, you just don’t give up,” said Kathy.

Is anyone else worried...
Here are two sneak peek clips of New Moon that were shown at Comic-Con yesterday and maybe it's just my annoyance of the tweens screaming their heads off whenever Jacob or Edward is shown but it don't look very good. I'm trying to give it a fair chance because I have always thought that Kristen Stewart was the world's worst actress. The first movie made me angry because you could definitely not tell that Bella and Edward were in love and that's mainly because she always looked stoned or uncomfortable. I don't know take a look for yourself and tell me what you think. I'm glad they made Alice prettier and her hair looked less like a wig this time. Jacob's stomach... well that is nice, it's really wrong that he is only 17.
They opened the official website for the movie and it's a pretty awesome interactive site. Take a look when you get a chance.

I Lost My Choo...
“We adore Jimmy Choo’s shoes and bags. They are glamorous and sexy, and they add instant style to the simplest of outfits. I like the way we have worked with clothes to accessorize the shoes and bags rather than the other way around. This collaboration is particularly exciting because it’s our first shoe designer collection. It’s a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers.”Since its launch in 1996, Jimmy Choo has been such a phenomenal success that the brand name has become part of popular culture - say the words “Jimmy Choo”, and you know you mean shoes. In Hollywood, Jimmy Choo shoes have become a red-carpet essential, and have been worn at the Oscars by winners such as Cate Blanchett, Halle Berry and Hilary Swank among many other actresses. The famous Jimmy Choo shoes will be at the heart of the exclusive collection for H&M, but there’s more. Jimmy Choo has also become well known for its bags, and for H&M there will be a whole range of accessories to complete the look.
I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am for this. Ever since I heard those four little words uttered from Miss Carrie Bradshaw, "I lost my Choo!" I have longed for a pair of Jimmy Choo's. However even though I am an extremist when it comes to footwear (what's wrong with 100+ pairs of shoes when there are 365 days in a year?!) I could never fully convince myself that it is perfectly fine to spend 700+ on one pair of shoes. *Gasp* I know there are plenty of you that don't agree but I am recent college grad people!! I am also currently indebted to that SKANK Sallie Mae so I have to deal with her first. One day they will fill my closet but right now hearing this news has made my day! Hmm now I just have to figure out which H&M they will be coming to so I can get ready to level a bitch if she gets in my way. Thursday, July 16, 2009
Why Not Love Yourself A Little More Today...
Hola Lovelies! A couple weeks ago I was wandering around blogland and I saw that Miss Brunette Bombshell was having a perfect body initiative. She wanted to know what made everyone's body perfect to them. This is something I, along with many of you i'm sure, have always struggled with. Also my skinny feet since they allowed me to do ballet for 10 years and look really pretty with some pink polish!

I Knew It...

Swearing is a common response to pain, but no previous research has connected the uttering of an expletive to the actual physical experience of pain.
"Swearing has been around for centuries and is an almost universal human linguistic phenomenon," said Richard Stephens of Keele University in England and one of the authors of the new study. "It taps into emotional brain centers and appears to arise in the right brain, whereas most language production occurs in the left cerebral hemisphere of the brain."
Stephens and his fellow Keele researchers John Atkins and Andrew Kingston sought to test how swearing would affect an individual's tolerance to pain. Because swearing often has an exaggerating effect that can overstate the severity of pain, the team thought that swearing would lessen a person's tolerance.
As it turned out, the opposite seems to be true.
The researchers enlisted 64 undergraduate volunteers and had them submerge their hand in a tub of ice water for as long as possible while repeating a swear word of their choice. The experiment was then repeated with the volunteer repeating a more common word that they would use to describe a table.
Contrary to what the researcher expected, the volunteers kept their hands submerged longer while repeating the swear word.
The researchers think that the increase in pain tolerance occurs because swearing triggers the body's natural "fight-or-flight" response. Stephens and his colleagues suggest that swearing may increase aggression (seen in accelerated heart rates), which downplays weakness to appear stronger or more macho.
"Our research shows one potential reason why swearing developed and why it persists," Stephens said.

Novelicious...
Of course I chose Twilight! Was there anyone who thought differently? I have so many ideas and great authors that I love and will be covering soon but I personally believe it's my job to get everyone I come in contact with to read this series. Go on over and check out my first review and let me know what you think!
Cheers!!
